5,780 MSMEs Operate in S Pesisir

Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A total of 5,780 units of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operate in South Pesisir District, West Sumatra or an increase of 1,340 units compared to 2016 which only 4,440 units, Head of Local Cooperatives, MSMEs, Trade and Industry Department, Azral stated in Antara here, Wednesday.

He explained the total of MSMEs which is spreading in 15 sub-districts consist of 3,504 micro enterprises, 2,170 small enterprises and 106 medium enterprises.

Actually, various efforts have been made to enable MSMEs to improve the economy of the owner and its members. Among others, he noted, are conducting training and informing various capital assistance programs from the government.

"Currently the People's Business Credit program (KUR) is being intensively informed," he remarked.

In addition, it is also currently listing the perpetrators of MSMEs and subsequently in entering profiles to prospects in Credit Information System Program.

With the system, the banking will be easier to know the location, type of business and other information related to MSME, he pointed out.

"So the banking is easier to do the exploration of MSMEs that will be customers. It is a kind of recommendation," he added. (cha)
