W Sumatra Governor Encourages Rendang To Enter International Market

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Governor of West Sumatra, Irwan Prayitno encourages culinary typical of the region, rendang to enter international market in order to become one mean of regional promotion.

"Once the rendang barrier can only last one month, then it is feared to change the taste. But now, with the technology there is a solution, so it should be enter international market soon," he stated while being contacted from Padang.

Rendang endurance has become one of Minang's culinary excellence. Without special processing, rendang can last up to one month.

Therefore Minang people who like to wander always bring the culinary, it can even become one of the mainstay menu at Minang restaurants that exist in almost all provinces in Indonesia.

But for the industrial scale and exported abroad, durability for one month was considered still less, because it sought solutions with technology.
