Aryati. (ANTARA SUMBAR/Yusrizal/)

Lubukbasung, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A total of 36 out of 217 cooperatives in Agam District, West Sumatra have held annual member meeting (RAT) since January to February 18, 2018, Head of Cooperative Industry and Agribusiness and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Aryati in Lubukbasung on Sunday, stated there are five cooperatives which do RAT every week. "The implementation of RAT expires in June and for that, I urge all cooperatives to do RAT before the deadline set," she said. Currently, the number of active cooperatives are 217 units which spread across 16 sub-districts. Previously, the number of cooperatives in the area are 261 units, but 47 units were dissolved in 2017. "The disbanded cooperative has no relationship with government or owes it to the state," she said. The dissolution of cooperative is based on the Decree of Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Indonesia number: 65/Kep/M.KUKM.2VII/2017 on the Change of Ministerial Decree of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises No. 114/KEP/M.KUKM.2/XII2016 Dissolution of Cooperatives. This is based on the proposal from related department, after the cooperative is not active and does not hold annual member meetings. "In this year, we proposed 61 units of cooperatives to be dissolved to related ministry, but only 47 units were dissolved," she said. (cha) Translator: Vicha Faradika
