Padang (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit directly observed the implementation of "selective restrictions" for people entering the province from Riau and Jambi.

Riau-West Sumatra boundary monitored is the Kiliran Jao post, Sijunjung Regency, while the Sumbar-Jambi boundary is at Sungai Rumbai, Dharmasraya.

"On the first day there are still some obstacles that are still being faced such as technical inspection for bus passengers," he said in Dharmasraya, Tuesday.

Previously officers into the bus to check the body temperature of the passenger. But in the future it is requested that passengers who down to be checked and fill in data related to COVID-19 that has been prepared.

Data at boundary posts, especially passenger destinations, must be directly informed to the COVID-19 handling team in the destination area to be followed up. One of them to ensure self-isolation for 14 days.

"If the destination of the passenger is to City A or District B, then the field coordinator will immediately inform the regency / city task force that the passengers destination so that monitoring can be carried out in their respective areas," Nasrul Abit said.

For freight vehicles, officers only check the driver's body temperature. And for passengers who have symptoms, local health personnel immediately take action according to the procedures.

For each post is prepared a table, stationery and others  to support the implementation of the tasks. Including the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

"At present the PPE equipment is still very limited, but we have moved our SMEs to create PPE to fulfill the needs of officers," he said.
