Medan (ANTARA) - Dutch King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima Zorreguieta Cerruti are planning a vacation in the Lake Toba region, North Sumatra on Thursday (3/12).

Director of the Lake Toba Tourism Authority Agency (BOPDT) Arie Prasetyo on Wednesday in Medan said that one of the locations to be visited was the Batak traditional house in Siambat Dalan Hamlet, Lintong Nihuta Village, Tampahan Subdistrict, Toba Samosir District.

"This Batak traditional house is hundreds of years old and is still occupied by the community," he said.

Meanwhile, based on ANTARA's observations on location, a number of people until Wednesday afternoon are still making various preparations to welcome the arrival of the King and Queen of the Netherlands to the location that was once used as the place of making the film "Toba Dreams".

"The preparation starts from cleaning the houses, the environment, and various other preparations," said Lintong Village Chief Nihuta Holingte Simanjuntak.

The visit of the King and Queen of the Netherlands, said Holingte, became a matter of pride for the people of Lintong Nihuta Village.
"We as a community are very happy to receive the King and Queen of the Netherlands. We are also proud because a King and Queen of the Netherlands wants to see our traditional Batak house," he said.

In addition to visiting the Batak traditional house, the King and Queen of the Netherlands will also go to Bukit Singgolom in Toba Samosir Regency which has a view of Lake Toba.

After that, the last planned location will be visited by King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima Zorreguieta Cerruti namely Parapat in Simalungun Regency.
