Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A total of 27 Junior High Schools (SMP) in Padang Municipality, West Sumatra, will hold the National Computer Based Test (UNBK) in 2018, local officials said.
The school that will participate in UNBK consists of 22 independent UNBK implementing schools and five junior high schools of joint organizers, Head of Basic Education Curriculum Section, Padang Education Office, Ramson stated in Padang, Thursday.
He mentioned that the schools that are including in the joint organizers are SMPN 11 Padang, SMPN 30 Padang, SMPN 31 Padang, SMPN 33 Padang and SMPN 12 Padang.
Implementation of UNBK Junior High School in Padang, he said is the second time so that required careful preparation and get around the lack of facilities in the implementation, such as computers.
To get around the lack of computer facilities, it planned to use high school computer or vocational school, it is because both school will hold UNBK before SMP.
Related to the target for the achievement of UNBK results, he said, his side does not set a target for it, but continue to encourage schools to provide training to students who will follow UNBK.
Earlier in 2017, only 15 schools attended UNBK with four schools as UNBK providers independently.
Meanwhile, Teachers Association of the Republic of Indonesia (PGRI) of West Sumatra states UNBK can minimize cheating during the exam.
"With the existence of UNBK, cheats that have been feared can be minimized or even not happen," Chairman of West Sumatra PGRI Zainal Akil added. (cha)
