Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo revealed that until now there are about 800,000 residents who have dual population number (NIK) so that it becomes obstacles in completing the making of electronic Identity (ID) card.
"Currently there are more than seven million people need ID card that already has a letter and 94 percent of them on processed, but there are 800 thousand inhabitants of double NIK that 60 percent of them overseas schools," he said in Padang, West Sumatra, Tuesday (Sept 26) night.
He conveyed this at a friendly meeting with the Governor, Regent, Mayor, Forum Coordination of Regional Leadership of West Sumatra, members of the Provincial DPRD as well as regional devices to the Village Head of Padang City.
According to him, the findings of double NIK, for example there is a name that has three e- ID card and until now it can not find the real mother's name.
"Suppose there is the same name, same address but the name of biological mother can not be changed," he said.
Tjahjo said until September, it has provided 25.9 million pieces of blank reserves to complete e-ID and fulfill the needs of 2018.
From 25.9 million which are blanks, seven million copies have been distributed throughout Indonesia, 7.4 million have been signed, and 11.5 million shares are being pursued through sectoral e-Catalog, he pointed out.
Meanwhile, until now there are 175,949,127 citizens of Indonesia who have recorded population data from a total of 261,142,385 residents until the first half of 2017.
Then recorded at number of 189,630,855 residents who are required to have e-ID including 4,381,144 souls who are abroad.
He admitted that e-ID process had stalled because there were 98 officials in related ministry who in the last year had to undergo intensive inspection by KPK related to corruption case investigation of e-ID, so that psychically it affects the performance.
He targets all e-ID has been completed this year. Then the regents and mayors will be given the recorded population data per village in the form of flash.
So the head of region know the total number of the villagers, high school and blood type to work, he said.
He asked for a small town, local government directly came to the resident's house to match the ID card data. (cha)
