Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Finance Ministry organized the DJP IT Summit 2021 on grounds that DJP was an organization adaptable to change.
The event, bearing the theme of artificial intelligence and data analytics, aimed to celebrate Indonesia's 76th Independence Day and Tax Day 2021.
"This event is expected to offer a large contribution to the development of information and technology, especially in tax collection efforts to advance Indonesia," Tax Director General Suryo Utomo stated during the online DJP IT Summit 2021 here on Wednesday.
Utomo noted that the IT Summit event was the first to be held by DJP, and he expected it to be organized regularly in future.
The DJP IT Summit 2021 had three agendas: IT competition named Hackathon, virtual technology exhibition, and virtual symposium.
The Hackathon is held to bolster creativity as well as to serve as a platform for artificial intelligence and data analytics developers to assist in optimizing taxation administration, Utomo expounded.
Some 214 people partook in the event, held from July 5 until August 17, 2021, of which 26 cleared the final round.
Meanwhile, Utomo remarked that the virtual technology exhibition will be held from August 18 to August 31, 2021, and will involve 25 participants.
The event’s participants hailed from institutions, such as the Finance Ministry, State-Owned Enterprises, and private enterprises, as well as academicians.
Lastly, he remarked that the online symposium will be held from August 18 until August 20, 2021, with 16 participants.
Participants of the events hailed from various organizations, such as online tax, PT Telekomunikasi Seluler, PT Bukalapak.com, and Gunadarma University.
