Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) has enforced a new procedure to ensure the passenger departure process of domestic route runs well.
"A number of procedures have been updated, including those implemented on May 15, 2020 to make the examination of document requirements more focused and carried out by officials from various elements such as airlines, the Port Health Office (KKP), and so on to ensure prospective passengers meet the requirements or not , "said President Director o PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He said there were four check points in the new procedure, namely, the first check point for verification of travel documents, the second check point for examining documents and physical health related.
Then, the third check point validates all documents and approval from KKP, and the fourth check point is passengers check- in.

On May 15-18, 2020, the number of flights in Soekarno-Hatta airport recorded 625 flights consisting of international and domestic routes, cargo, repatriation of Indonesian citizens and non-scheduled special flights.
He detailed, flights on May 15, 2020 were 173 flights, on May 16, 2020 were 161 flights, on May 17, 2020 were 161 flights, and on May 18, 2020 there were 130 flights.
"Through the new procedure, the departure process of the domestic route runs well and prioritizes physical distancing. Supervision is still carried out strictly," said Awaluddin.
PT Angkasa Pura II appealed that each prospective passenger always prioritizes discipline when undergoing the process at the four check points. Passengers are also asked to prepare various documents required before going to the airport.
Until now the KKP has refused the departure of more than 100 prospective passengers because they did not meet the requirements based on circular letter No. 04/2020.

"There have been more than 100 prospective passengers whose departure has been refused. Since the first check point, there was a rigorous inspection and indeed there were prospective passengers who still did not carry complete travel documents. The certificates were invalid, starting from the assignment letter and others. There were also prospective passengers who brought a certificate of rapid test or PCR that has expired, "he explained.
In addition, there were hundreds of people who were refused departure because they came directly to Soekarno-Hatta airport without having a flight ticket and did not carry any of the required documents.
As we know, during flight restrictions, prospective passengers who are permitted to travel are those who include into the exception criteria and fulfill documents in accordance with SE No. 04/2020 released by the Task Force for Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling.
