"A number of procedures have been updated, including those implemented on May 15, 2020 to make the examination of document requirements more focused and carried out by officials from various elements such as airlines, the Port Health Office (KKP), and so on to ensure prospective passengers meet the requirements or not , "said President Director o PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said there were four check points in the new procedure, namely, the first check point for verification of travel documents, the second check point for examining documents and physical health related.

Then, the third check point validates all documents and approval from KKP, and the fourth check point is passengers check- in.

Until now the KKP has refused the departure of more than 100 prospective passengers because they did not meet the requirements based on circular letter No. 04/2020.

"There have been more than 100 prospective passengers whose departure has been refused. Since the first check point, there was a rigorous inspection and indeed there were prospective passengers who still did not carry complete travel documents.
