Padangpariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Entering the second day of Eid al-Fitr 1439 Hijriah, the flow of travelers coming home at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) in Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra is still high for domestic arrivals.
"On D+1 or June 16, 2018, the number of homecoming arrivals reached 6,345 people, up 12 percent compared to the same period last year," Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura II BIM Fendrik stated in here on Sunday.
According to him, 6,345 travelers who arrived at D+1 were transported by 40 flights.
Earlier on the first day of Eid, the number of homecomers who arrived also still high which reached 7,337 travelers.
In contrast, the departure of travelers at BIM on D+1 reached 4,874 people.
He conveyed the movement of passengers in BIM on Eid this year is estimated to increase about 12 to 20 percent while the movement of aircraft about five to 10 percent.
Based on last year's experience and statistics, the reverse flow is expected to occur on June 19-20 and June 23-24, 2018, he said.

This instrument is usually used to accompany dance performances or greetings such as Pasambahan Dance and Gelombang Dance.
