Mandeh Gets The First Ranked in API II

Painan, (Antara Sumbar) - The Integrated Marine Tourism Area (KWBT) of Mandeh, South Pesisir District, West Sumatra is ranked first in the Most Hidden Heaven category at API II.

"The award was received directly in Jakarta on Saturday night (Nov 25). It is a remarkable achievement for the world of South Pesisir tourism," South Pesisir Regent Hendrajoni stated in Painan on Monday.

He hopes that momentum can increase the popularity of Mandeh Region not only inside but also abroad.

"To the people who play an active role in realizing the Mandeh Region to reach first ranked, on behalf of local government says thanks as much as possible," he said.

Previously, the award was given by the Minister of Tourism RI, Arief Yahya, who was represented by the Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) RI, Uus Kuswara.

On that occasion, Uus Kuswara argued, API activities are organized to become a measuring tool in improving the quality of service with national and even world standards.

"It is expected that the activity can create recognition from all walks of life to the tourism sector," he continued.

He hopes to the entire region, with the awards of API, region can increasingly passionate in developing tourism in the region. (cha)
