Magelang, C Java, (Antara Sumbar) - Minister for State Enterprises Rini Soemarno told airport operators PT Angkasa Pura 1 and PT Angkasa Pura 2 to expand their respective airports of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara and Kualanamu in North Sumatra.
The two state-owned port operators should team up with experience international airport operators in designing the expansion project, Rini said here on Monday (Sept 18).
Expansion of the two international airports is necessary to be able to serve larger number of passengers, she said after accompanying President Joko Widodo in visit to the sub-district of Borobudur, the district of Magelang.
Rini said discussion on seeking partner to expand the two airports in in process, adding the partners should have strong capacity financially and direct networks with foreign airlines that would use the airports. (*)
