Solok (ANTARA) - Temporary Chief of Solok City Mayor Asben Hendri said the tourism became top priority in Solok City, West Sumatra, need serious handlers in development efforts involving many parties.

"The tourism sector is one of the top priorities in Solok City. The concept of cultured tourism is in accordance with the Customs of  ‘Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK)’ and has special characteristics," said Asben in Solok, Friday.

He conveyed that when welcoming the arrival of the West Sumatra Province 2020 Tourism Care Assessment Team which took place at the Solok City Bappeda Hall.

He reminded all stakeholders to be embraced as a form of desire to promote tourism in Solok City

Besides that, he also thanked the assessment team for coming to Solok City.

"We have had done a dialogue, hopefully our answers can be satisfying and can produce the best for the Solok City," he said.

In the meeting also were attend by Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat for the Solok City Jefrizal, Chairman of LKAAM Solok City Rusli Khatib Sulaiman, Chairman of the Bundo Kanduang of Solok City Sitta Novembra, Head of other related OPDs.

While the assessment team that came was led by the Head of the West Sumatra Tourism Office, Novrial, and a group of other assessment teams.

After the welcoming activity, it will be continued with field visits to various tourist attractions in the Solok City.
