Padang (ANTARA) - PT. KAI West Sumatra Regional Division II will operate Sibinuang train to Padang-Naras on August 1st, 2020.
The public relationship head of PT KAI West Sumara Regional Division II, M.Reza Fahlepi in Padang, on Tuesday said the operation of Sibinuang train as the PT KAI commitment to serve and meet the demands of citizens or local government to support the development of tourist destinations, especially Gondoriah Beach which is very interesting for the W Sumatra residents.
“PT KAI will operate again the train trips in Regional Division II area of W Sumatra. The first trip is Sibinuang train to Padang-Naras. The trip frequency is same like before that is as many as eight trips,” he said.
Reza explained, train ticket can be order through KAI Access application or the nearest train ticket sales channel starts from D-7 to 1 hour before the train departure schedule. The counters at the station only serve go show ticket sales, which are 3 hours before the Sibinuang train departure schedule.
"At present KAI only sells Sibinuang train tickets as much as 70 percent of the available seat capacity," he said.
He added, for people who want to travel using this Sibinuang train must still comply with the requirements in accordance with the Covid-19 Task Force, each train passenger must be in good health, don’t have a cold, cough or fever, with body temperature below of 37.3 degrees.
In addition, train passengers must wear mask, during in station area or on the train, and passengers are encouraged to wear a jacket, and do not talk on the train to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
The train passengers should follow the health protocol of COVID-19 such as keep a distance and wash hand during in the station area.
“The operation again of train trip still refers to the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. pm 41 of 2020 dated June 8, 2020 concerning Transportation Control to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19, Circular Letter of the DJKA No. 14 of 2020 on June 8, 2020 concerning Guidelines and Technical Guidelines for Railways Transportation Control during New Normal Era to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19, "he said.
Besides that, it also refers to the Circular Letter of Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Number 9 of 2020 dated June 26, 2020 concerning Criteria for Travel Requirements of People in the New Normal Towards Productive Communities and Safe of COVID-19.
