Basic necessities prices  in Padang relatively stable ahead of Eid al Adha

Padang (ANTARA) - Ahead of the Eid al-Adha 1441 Hijri or also known as the Qurban holiday, prices of basic necessities sold in Pasar Raya Padang, W Sumatra were relatively stable.

The staff of the Padang City Trade Office, Dina in Padang, on Thursday, said that the relatively stable prices of necessities such as red chili from village was IDR 16,000 per kilogram, red chili from java was IDR 18,000 per kilogram, and the green chili was IDR 14,000 per kilogram.

Then the price of potatoes was still IDR 10,000 per kilogram, meat was IDR 120 thousand per kilogram, chicken IDR 27,000 per kilogram, and kampong chickens IDR 50,000 per kilogram.

Furthermore, the price of garlic was also stable at IDR 14,000 per kilogram, large shallots at IDR 30,000 per kilogram, and medium shallots at IDR 20,000 per kilogram.

"Whereas the price of green cayenne pepper increased by IDR 34,000 per kilogram from the previous price of IDR 32,000," she added.

Then the price of tomatoes was still stable at IDR 9,000 per kilogram, potatoes at IDR10,000 per kilogram, and cabbage IDR 5,000 per kilogram.

she mentioned the price of other basic necessities such as fried oil of IDR 10,000 per kilogram and IDR 13 thousand per liter for Sari Murni brand, and sea salt of IDR 6 thousand per kilogram.

"In fact, the price of white sugar dropped, which was white sugar to IDR 13,000 per kilogram and yellowish sugar to IDR 14,000 per kilogram from previously reaching IDR 20,000 per kilogram," she continued.

While the Head of Supervision and Stabilization Price of the Padang City Trade Office, Heni Pusita continued to urge traders and buyers who visit Pasar Raya Padang to comply the health protocol COVID-19.

"It aims to avoid the transmission of COVID-19 to traders and buyers. The health protocol that must be followed such as wear masks, wash hands and avoid crowds," she said.
