Lubukbasung (ANTARA) - W Sumatra Legislator from Agam Regency proposed the construction of a flyover at Kelok 44 to support the development of Lake Maninjau tourist attraction.
"We have discussed the construction of flyover with the Padang National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) in 2019 and this is my personal proposal as a person of Tanjungraya," said Ismunandi Sofyan, a member of Indonesia West Sumatra Regional People's Representative Council in Lubukbasung, Monday.
He said the construction of the flyover was to support the development of Lake Maninjau tourist attraction. If the flyover has been built, it will lose the existence of Kelok 9 in Limapuluh Kota Regency.

Besides that a large tourism bus from Bukittinggi City to Lake Maninjau Tourism Object can pass through the area, because the Kelok 44 road is only small with a size of six meters and only can be passed by a small tourism bus car.
Previously tourists who used large-sized tourism buses had never been to the lake.
"I am optimistic that the flyover construction will begin in the near future and be completed in the next few years," he said.
Tanjungraya Subdistrict has a pretty good tourist attraction, because it has Lake Maninjau, Buya Hamka Museum, Linggai and others.
Agam Tourism activator, Popi Rajo Bintang added that the flyover will be an attraction for tourists.

"Tourists can see the beauty of Lake Maninjau from the flyover. The existence of the flyover also impacts to businesses, traders and others," he said.
In the future, he hopes that the Agam Regency Government will manage tourist objects, so that the number of visits will increase.
