New normal era, culinary businesses in Payakumbuh return to increase

Payakumbuh (ANTARA) - Culinary business in Payakumbuh city, W Sumatra has increased again after entered the new normal era of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Manager of Ramen Coffee, Andre Ing in Payakumbuh, on Friday, said that culinary has became one of the added values and attractiveness in Payakumbuh city.

According to him Payakumbuh is a culinary city, so the culinary business was quite promising. Indeed, the culinary business was affected by COVID-19, but now it has returned to normal.

Seeing the conditions that began to crowded, he decided to officially open a culinary business whose ideas and management emerged from several young people in Payakumbuh city.

"Because this cafe will bring a lot of people, it must pay attention to health protocols, considering the threat of COVID-19 spread," he said.

In addition, he said, he dared to open a new culinary business because it carries a new concept by combining the culinary drinks Coffee with the name Warunk Joni and Japanese culinary ramen noodles known as Koteji Ramen.

"We are optimistic that the presence of Ramen Coffee in Payakumbuh can be a choice for young people," he said.

He mentioned Warunk Joni Coffee is an offering from a young bartender named Joni who has explored the world of coffee since the last few years.

"Ramen Coffee offers a different concept than ever before. Surely the nuances of contemporary hangouts are a mainstay for Ramen Coffee to pamper millennial visitors," he said accompanied by Marketing Coordinator of Ramen Coffee, Rovindo Maisya.

Previously, Head of the Cooperative and SME Office Payakumbuh, Dahler said that at present his office does not impose curfews for culinary businesses.

With not imposed the curfews it is hope can encourage culinary businesses again in Payakumbuh.

But Dahler said, every businessman such as street vendors or cafes were required to pay attention to health protocols.

"Payakumbuh is quite famous for the night culinary market. Hopefully after a normal era, everything will return like usually before COVID-19," he said.
