Padang (ANTARA) - Governor of W Sumatra Irwan Prayitno stressed that according to Permenkes No.9 of 2020, activities involving many people, including worship, are only permitted in the "green zone" area of COVID-19 by fulfilling a number of conditions.
"In W Sumatra, the area that is still 'green zone' or free of COVID-19 at the moment is Sawahlunto," he said on Monday in Padang.
Areas in the level of urban village or sub-district that are still safe are allowed to conduct Eid Al-Fitr prayers because it is difficult to keep residents of the "red zone" area to participate in worship together.

"It will be regulated by the city / regency government based on local wisdom and coordination with all relevant parties such as the Regional Government Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and follow health and protocols requirements," he said.
Some conditions that should be met such as the number of pilgrims not too much, the place of prayer should be wide so that the distance between pilgrims can be arranged at least one meter.

Then the committee have to disseminate the health protocol to the congregation Eid Al-Fitr prayers, including preparing hand washing / provision of sanitizers, wearing masks, bring the prayer rugs, sermons are not long, prayers just read short verses, no donation boxes, no greetings and hugs, keep your distance and must be monitored by security forces, the National Police, the TNI, Pol PP and others concerned.
Then the Deputy Governor of W Sumatra Nasrul Abit ensured that the provincial government would not hold Eid prayer in the yard of the governor's office or at the Masjid Raya this year.
"This aims to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community," he said.
