Prepared for 465, only 11 people used W Sumatra Provincial quarantine facilities

Padang (ANTARA) - The number of people utilizing quarantine facilities managed by the Government of W Sumatra Province is only 11 people out of the capacity provided for 465 people.

"From eleven people, seven people under monitoring status (ODP) at the Padang Panjang BLK and four are COVID-19 positive patients with mild symptoms at the dormitory of Health Office Bapelkes in Padang," said a spokesman for SumbarJasman COVID-19 in Padang , Thursday.

He said of the seven ODP people who were isolated at BLK Padang Panjang, three people had taken the swap test, and were waiting for the results of the laboratory.

While of the four people who just entered, three from Padang Panjang and one from Tanah Datar District.

Then there were four patients who positive COVID-19 with mild symptoms stay in the dormitory of Health Bapelkes W Sumatra Health Office.

Jasman predicts that in the future, the facility will be full, because the government implements a policy of forced transfers for migrants who do not want independent isolation. Those who are picked up will be placed in the facility or managed by the regency / city.

Bureau Head of Procurement Administration and Property Management, W Sumatra Regional Secretariat, Syafrizal revealed that his party divided the quarantine facility into two categories, special for persons under monitoring (ODP) and patients under surveillance (PDP) or COVID-19 positive patients with mild symptoms.

Of the nine quarantine places prepared by the West Sumatra Provincial Government, five are for ODP and four for PDP.

The nine quarantine places are scattered in several areas, such as Payakumbuh, Agam, Padang Panjang, Padang Pariaman and most of them are located in Padang with a capacity of around 465 people.

The ODP and PDP that will enter the quarantine must be accompanied by a recommendation from the local authorized officer or official.

"To maximize the service, we try to fulfill one place first, after that we can use another place so that health workers can focus to handle them, he said.
