Pasaman Barat closed all tourism objects to anticipate the spread of COVID-19

Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - The government of Pasaman Barat Regency, West Sumatra has closed all tourism objects in the area to anticipate the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

The closure of the tourist attraction is based on the West Pasaman Regent Circular with a letter number 556/033 / DISPAR / III-2020 dated March 23, 2020.

"Our tourist area has been closed for visitors in anticipation of COVID-19," said the Head of the Pasaman Barat Tourism Office, Tantri Desniwarti at Simpang Empat, Thursday.

In this letter the Pasaman Barat district government closed all tourist attractions such as Sasak Beach, Sikabau Beach, Air Bangis Beach and Mount Talamau from tourists visiting for the next 14 days.

"From March 23 to April 4, it should be closed and reopen after conditions have been good," he said.

According to him, this circular letter had been made since the 23rd, but because there were changes, so, on March 26 it could be published.

In addition, in the circular letter also mentioned every hotel and restaurant and tourism business providing hand sanitizers or hand washing facilities with soap and conducting supervision and inspection of all visitors who come.

"To all hotel managers, restaurants and other tourist objects to provide information to the Task Force if there are indications related to the spread of COVID-19," he said.
