Arosuka (ANTARA) - The Government of Solok Regency, West Sumatra will postpone a number of activities to commemorate the 107th anniversary of Solok Regency in the effort to prevent COVID-19 in the area.
"Some activities were postponed such as the Arosuka Expo, the Lima Danau Festival, the PKK Jamboree, and the MTQ," said Assistant Coordinator of the Government field Edisar in Arosuka said on Monday.
He explained that the activity was postponed until an undetermined time except for the Solok Anniversary Commemoration Plenary session and the evening reception.
He has coordinated with various parties to be ready to face and anticipate the spread of Covid-19.
Edisar said that with the meeting, his party tried to straighten out information that was developing in the community to face the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the determination of school holidays from elementary school to lectures awaits the results of the regent's meeting with the governor in Padang.
According to him the local Health Service has established Corona virus control post and posts in all public health center in each subdistrict.
In addition, the Government also appealed to all mosque administrators to sterilize mosques in welcoming Ramadan and anticipating the spread of COVID-19.
"The community must remain vigilant and calm, and must understand everything related to the Corona virus problem so that it is not a misstep when someone nearby or yourself is affected by Corona," he said.
If there are family members who have just returned from the affected country or region to immediately visit the nearest health facility or hospital if there are symptoms of fever and acute respiratory infections such as cough, runny nose, sore throat.
