Pertamina will give sanction for cheating gas stations in West  Sumatra

Padang (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I emphasized would give sanction to cheating gas stations in W sumatra area.

Manager Unit of Comm, Rel & CSR MOR I, Roby Hervindo when called from Padang, on Wednesday said for sanction that will be given based on violation level done.

“lightest sanction is reprimand letter and most severe sanctions is termination of business relationship,” he said.

He said supervision must run two sides. On the one hand, gas stations must obey the regulation. For second side, there are consumers that should obey the regulation.

His side agreed and supported sudden inspection activities carried out by the regional government even there are criminal sanctions to make the perpetrators deterrent.

"With the two sides of the same supervision going well, the distribution of fuel oil will be in accordance with the designation," he said.

Pertamina has issued a circular letter to the gas station on February 5, 2020 which prohibits gas stations from serving premium purchases and subsidized bio-diesel to consumers who have not paid local taxes.

He said, especially vehicles with Motor Vehicle Number Marks (TNKB) that had expired, without license plates and had not paid taxes.

In addition vehicles with modified tanks and shippers are also prohibited from being serviced.

"We hope that the regulation will run in accordance with its designation so that the quota is sufficient for the people of W Sumatra," he said.
