Teluk Tapang Air Bangis Pasaman Barat port contruction resumed

Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - Construction of Teluk Tapang port in Air Bangis, Pasaman Barat Regency, W Sumatera was continued this year.

"The continuation of this development has been discussed the Pasaman Barat Regent, Governor of W Sumatra with the ministry in Jakarta," said the head of the Pasaman Barat Regional Development planning agency, Jon Hendri in Simpang Empat, Tuesday.

According to him the continuation of the development of Teluk Tapang Port is welcomed by central government. Later, there were several interrelated ministries to build the port.

"We all people of Pasaman Barat are hoping that development is rapidly realized. This will increase the community's economy and open the job, "he said.

He explained that the 41 kilometers of roads that exist today have been paved for 7.75 kilometers, and the roads that still have sand and rocks is 1.85 kilometers long.

"The rest of the dirt roads need to be built along 31.4 kilometers. The bridge that has not been built there are five units and seven is finished, "he said.

In addition, the construction of port infrastructure such as office area, warehouse, parking, loading and unloading is not available.

He mentions because the port status was upgraded to port collecting so that the authority was in the ministry.

For the development of Port Infrastructure, the Ministry of Transportation said that the land for that was handed over to the Ministry of Transportation by Ministry of Environtment.

He added from the results of the meeting, the solution offered by the Ministry of Public Work is expected to build five bridges and the acceleration of construction of roads along 31.4 kilometers.

While the budget needs reach RP150 billion for the roads and bridges of RP70 billion, with the expectation of roads can be skipped.

"Hopefully the continuation of this development can run well and the port can be used later," he hoped. (*)
