Students of ISI Padang Panjang show their final assignments in the form of artworks
Padang Panjang (ANTARA) - Students of art craft study programs at the Indonesian Institute of Art (ISI) Padang Panjang, W Sumatra exhibited works of art which became the final project with the theme "Seqamart Cultural Revitalization" or ideas to raise the importance of values in a culture.
The exhibition was opened by Assistant III for General Administration in Padang Panjang , Martoni at Nusantara Kriya Seni Building, ISI Padang Panjang, on Tuesday, marked by ribbon cutting and student fashion shows.
According to Martoni, the exhibition shows the students have the ability that they can use to compete in the world of work or open their own businesses and open new jobs.
"Art is also an expensive work because it is born of thought and imagination. We hope that after graduating, students will continue to work and continue to elevate regional culture in their works, "he said.
He hopes students can perform their final project as well as possible until graduation and can attend graduation.
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) ISI Padang Panjang, Yandri added that the final project exhibition was filled by 15 students from the art craft study program.
The works on display were five students displaying wood works, five students displaying textile works, three students with metal works and one student each showing ceramic and leather works.
"The exhibition of this work is actually a new step that students face because there are still many challenges faced after this. We hope that these students will be able to take responsibility for the results they display, "he said.
