Padang Panjang (ANTARA) - The Government of the City of Padang Panjang, W Sumatra, provides a traditional culinary market as an additional attraction to support the implementation of the Tour de Singkarak (TdS) bicycle racing event.
Deputy Mayor of Padang Panjang, Asrul in Padang Panjang on Wednesday said the W Sumatra traditional culinary market was provided at the finish location in Padang Panjang on stage three.
Stage three is scheduled on November 4, 2019 with the race starting from Lembah Harau, Limapuluh Kota Regency, ending in Padang Panjang.
"The culinary market is to lure the public to watch finishTdS. "It was opened on the day of stage three of the competition and one day before and after stage three of the competition," he said.
In stage three, it is estimated that riders will arrive in Padang Panjang from 02.00 pm to 02.40 pm, so before that time the atmosphere was crowded with people who were willing to watch.
"While within that time, the security will be further improved so that the finish runs smoothly," he said.
Located in Secata B, the market provides traditional culinary such as lamang tapai,kacimuih, gravy crackers and others.
The stand is packed with nuances of the past for traders who sell and wear old clothes.
In addition to the culinary , he also prepared Arabic-language attractions displayed by local students and performances of students of the Indonesian Institute of Art (ISI) Padang Panjang.
Attractions in Arabic are displayed well before stage three finishes while the next day there is an ISI student performance.
