Padang (ANTARA) - The City Government of Padang initiated the use of electronic money for payment to enter tourist attractions as an effort to popularize the non-cash payment system.
"The use of non-cash payments is a form of the Padang City Government's commitment in following up the Central Government's Non-Cash National Movement program," Administration Assistant of Padang City Government's, Didi Aryadi said in Padang on Friday.
According to him, the tourism sector is one of the contributors to the regional income which is quite large. For this reason, he wants this tourism management to be more optimal.
"One of the ways is by using the Brizzi card as a non-cash payment to enter tourist attractions in the city of Padang," Didi said.
While the Head of Tourism and Culture of the City of Padang, Arfian, said that the use of Brizzi to increase efficiency and effectiveness in payments for entering tourist attractions so that Original Local Government Revenue (PAD) of Padang could increase from the tourism sector .
"Gradually, this rule will be applicable next week for payment of entry in the attractions of Pantai Air Manis and Gunung Padang. "After the signing of this collaboration, we will actively promote the two tourism objects," he said.
BRI Padang Regional Head, Syamsul Arifin expressed his gratitude for the Padang City Government's trust in cooperating with BRI in using electronic money as a means of payment.
He said, the use of Brizzi cards provides convenience and speed without the need to carry cash and no need to bother with change.
"Non-cash payments are efficient and reduce revenue leakage. We hope that this collaboration can realize financial inclusion, he said.
He conveyed that the use of brizzi cards did not need to open an account at BRI. Only buy a card and balance at existing outlets or counters.
