Padang Panjang (ANTARA) - Indonesia Smart City Rating Team (RKCI) from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) visited Padang Panjang, W Sumatra because it entered in top ten smart cities in Small city categories.
Head of RKCI Team, Hendra Sandi in Padang Panjang, on Monday, said a visit to that area on Monday (7/10) and Tuesday (8/10) to see directly the steps that the local government has applied in building smart cities.
"Our visit aims to provide input in building smart cities and provide solutions to the problems faced," he said.
It measured 93 cities in Indonesia, which was chosen by 30 cities, consisting of 10 large cities, 10 medium cities and 10 small cities.
"Every city can learn from each other because the city is the backbone of the country so that the cities in Indonesia support the progress of the country," he said.
Deputy mayor of Padang Panjang Asrul said that the area is in the top ten RKCI, it is hoped that the Government will be encouraged to improve the quality of resources and governance.
The team's visit can be utilized by regional devices to obtain information to improve services that utilize information technology.
On the first day of the visit, the RKCI team visited the service at Population and Civil registry Office , the Padang Panjang hospital, the obsolete market village and the Public Safety Center (PSC) 119.
