Padang (ANTARA) - The Government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing will built the new facilities namely skate board at Padang Beach tourist area.
"The development of a national standard skate board game area is located next to the Merpati Perdamaian Monument," said the Head of the Tourism Office of Padang Arfian at Padang on Thursday.
According to him, the construction of this facility will further increase the choice of rides on Pantai Padang so that it can attract more visitors.
"Moreover, in Padang there have also been many enthusiasts of skateboarding," he said.
Not only that, he said, it would also be arranged to walk the area from Rusunawa to the south of Pantai Padang.
Then along the Sungai Batang Arau, arrangements will be made starting from the bridge to Seberang Padang.
Next in the Gunung Padang area, which is also close to Pantai Padang, will be built Sitti Nurbaya and Datuak Maringgih traditional houses.
"This house was built for the needs of filming Sitti Nurbaya by Balai Pustaka, after that it could become one of the new tourist destinations," he said.
Arfian said, he will continue to fix the tourist area in Padang as one of the visions of the Mayor of Padang Mahyeldi so that the level of visits continues to increase.
Related to the threat of coastal abrasion in a number of buildings along Pantai Padang, he ensured that it had been handled by the River Basin by building wave detectors. (*)
