Parit Malintang (ANTARA) - The Tourism, Youth, and Sport Office of Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra noted the number of tourist visits to Pantai Tiram attractions in the District of Ulakan Tapakis during the Idul Fitri holiday reached six thousand people.
"The data is known from the parking ticket that we provided during the 2019 Eid holiday," said Head of Tourism Development Disparpora in Padang Pariaman Wiwiek Herawati at Parit Malintang on Monday.
He detailed the vehicle parking ticket for last Sunday the number of cars entering the Pantai Tiram tourist attraction reached 600 units if multiplied by eight people for one vehicle, the number of tourists reached 4,800 people.
While the number of motorbikes entering the Pantai Tiram tourist attraction reached 600 vehicles, which if multiplied by two people for one vehicle, the number of tourists was 1,200 people.
"So there were around six thousand and maybe even seven thousand tourists visited Pantai Tiram last Sunday," he said.
The tourists come not only to enjoy the beauty of Pantai Tiram, but also to enjoy the typical cuisine served in one of the leading tourist attractions in Padang Pariaman, namely fish head curry with young coconut drinks.
He said that in the past few years his office has continued to improve development in the tourist attraction, starting from culinary plazas, boardwalks or walkways, and toilets at Pantai Tiram.
Meanwhile, one of tourists Agung said he specifically came with his wife to Pantai Tiram to enjoy fish head curry.
"It's been boring to eat rendang at home, so occasionally eat the head of the fish while enjoying the view of the beach," he said.
He said he and his family often came to these attractions to enjoy fish head curry and a number of other foods and drinks available.
Another case with other tourists is Nanda who complained about the traffic jam that occurred at the gate of the Pantai Tiram tourist attraction due to the narrow and hollow road and also the absence of traffic engineering.
According to him, the manager should implement a one-way lane system to enter the tourist attraction and it is supported by two gates owned by the tourist attraction. (*)
