Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - Conservation of turtles is present in West Pasaman District, W. Sumatra, marked by the release of hundreds of first turtle children in turtle conservation Pantai Indah Maligi, Sasak Ranah Pasisia District, Sunday, May 26, afternoon.

The release of turtle children was carried out by a combination of activists, nature lovers and a collection of photographers and representatives of the West Pasaman Regency Government.

According to the Head of Sasak Ranah Pasisia, Nur Fauziah Zein accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of the West Pasaman Regional Secretariat, Yosmar Difia, the first activity of the release of turtle children was the initial momentum for public introduction that in West Pasaman, Pantai Indah Maligi there was already a community of environmental lovers.

The environmental lovers joined in the MRPB ( the eyes of people of West Pasaman) Care, which was initiated by local residents, Surya and his friends.

He appreciated the initiative and persistence of Surya and his friends from Nagari Maligi in pioneering and preserving sea turtle cultivation in West Pasaman.

"Conservation of turtles in Maligi is the first conservation found in West Pasaman. Hopefully this activity will become a reference for other youth in West Pasaman in preserving nature, especially along the coast of West Pasaman, "he said.

He hopes that turtle conservation in Maligi can be widely known not only in the West Pasaman region but can be known outside of West Pasaman to add value to existing tourism.

"With the photography community coming today. We hope that we can disseminate tourist destinations in Maligi, "he hoped.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the MRPB Care for West Pasaman , Decky Harmiko Sahputra expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the first activity of the release of the turtle children and was attended by various elements and communities.

"We are proud of this activity in the future we will jointly fix this Maligi turtle breeding place," he said.

He hopes the photographer who came to help promote this conservation by inviting other photographer friends to Maligi.
