Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The subsidized LPG quota distributed by two Pertamina agents to 46 bases in Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra reached 54,390 tubes per month, Head of local Industry Trade Cooperative and Small and Medium Business Office Gusniyetti Zaunit stated here on Thursday.

"The local government along Pertamina distribute three kilograms of LPG faster in order to avoid long queues at each base especially during the fasting month and Eid al-Fitr 1439 hijriah," she explained.

In general, there is no increase on quote during Eid. It only related to the distribution schedule which is accelerated for several days.

In March 2018, the local government has written 46 LPG bases to do not sell above the highest retail price (HET) of Rp17 thousand per tube.

Besides, the related office has given a letter of warning to some LPG bases for allegedly selling over the HET some time ago.

"LPG bases that raise prices will be reprimanded, if it is still stubborn, then the business license can be revoked by local government," she remarked.

Maenwhile, she asked the public to do such report to relevant office if they find a three kilogram LPG station which is selling above HET.

The local government has made an effort to distribute the subsidized gas on target, one of them through the circular letter of Pariaman Mayor to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

In the circular, it mentioned that every ASN requested to do not use subsidized gas because it is intended specifically for economically underprivileged. (cha)
