Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of South Pesisir District, West Sumatra estimates the velocity of money from tourist visits to a number of tourist attractions in the area until D+6 of Eid Lebaran had reached Rp45 billion.
"This estimate is based on the number of tourist visits to a number of attractions in the area which reaches 300,000 people. If one person spends Rp150,000 then the turnover of money has amounted to Rp45 billion," Head of Tourism, Youth and Sports of South Pesisir, Mawardi Roska stated here on Thursday.
He said that this number will increase along with the operation of all attractions in the local area until Sunday (June 24).
According to him, the velocity of money does not only affects the local revenue through entrance tickets, but also felt by traders, parking attendants, shelter owners, hotels and others.
Currently, he said, many of the local people who took the time to be impromptu traders like selling boiled peanuts, salted eggs and others.
Besides, it also happens to parking attendants in which most people who settled in the location of attractions such as Carocok Beach Painan, Mandeh, Sand White Beach Kambang and others use the yard of citizen's home as a parking location.
From this efforts, it is no wonder that they can reach hundreds of thousands of rupiah each day. (cha)
