Homecoming Flow at BIM is Still High up to D+2 of Eid

Padang Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Up to two days after Lebaran on D+2 or Monday (June 18), the homecoming flow at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) in Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra is still high.

"The arrival of passengers is still crowded until yesterday, there are more coming than travelers who return," Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura II BIM Fendrick Sondra stated in here on Tuesday.

He mentioned the number of travelers who arrived on D+2 of Eid reached 7,485 people while the turning are 6,788 which transported by 44 flights.

While the previous day on D+1, the number of travelers who arrived reached 6,344 travelers and people who departed are 5,900 people.

"This passenger arrivals trend is expected to continue until the end of this week, especially Eid holiday will still last until June 20, 2018 and there is a two-day leave until the weekend," he explained.

Fendrick mentioned total passengers who arrived and departed from D-8 to D+2 are 90,044 people or up 10.28 percent compared to the period of 2017.

Furthermore, total passengers who are departing until June 18, 2018 are 62,530 people with an increase from 2016 in the same period of 12.02 percent, he said.

Then, the total movement of passengers and aircraft at BIM from D-8 to D+2 are 161,574 people or up 10.95 percent compared to 2017, he added. (cha)
