Thousands of Visitors Visit Sasak Beach Party

Simpang Empat, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Thousands of visitors crowded the event of Sasak Beach Party in Sasak Beach, West Pasaman District, West Sumatra since last three days.

"Sasak beach party has started since the second day of Eid on Saturday (June 16). There are around 6,000 visitors visit Sasak Beach per day," Head of West Pasaman Police Sector AKP Muzhendra stated in here on Monday.

He predicted the peak of citizens visit will occur on Tuesday (June 19) and Wednesday (June 20).

The high number of visits makes the West Pasaman Police Station, Koramil Simpang Empat, Department of Transportation and the committee must work hard to manage traffic to the tourist attraction because there are hundreds of two-wheeled vehicles and four-wheels vehicles fulfill the area of Sasak Beach.

Nevertheless, he claimed the security and traffic conditions in the coastal tourist area of Sasak is still conducive.

He asked visitors and local community to keep each other safe and order, so that the beach party event can run smoothly.

It also makes security with a patrol system in vulnerable areas, so there is no illegal levies or thuggery action in the area of tourist attraction.

Based on the observation in the field, Sasak Beach party runs safely and smoothly with the presence of service posts from the Police, TNI, Satpol PP, Transportation Department and other agencies.

Besides, visitors get entertainment from local artists who appear by singing a variety of songs. In addition, residents also have a party to eat and bathe by the beach.

On the shore of a thousand trees in Sasak, it can be seen that many residents are playing, laying mats and taking pictures.

"The beach party is held in cooperation with local village with all elements involved. It aims to promote Sasak Beach tourism to visitors," Secretary of West Pasaman Tourism Office Devi Irawan remarked.

According to him, Sasak Beach is one of the destination objects of society during Eid holidays every year.

Moreover, Sasak Beach which is about 20 kilometers from the center of the district capital, Simpang Empat is very easy to reach.

In terms of transportation distance, it is not too far. The distance of Simpang Empat to the city of Padang is about 200 kilometers or it takes 3-4 hours.

Then it takes about 15 minutes from Simpang Empat to the location of the beach. (cha)
