W Sumatra To Concentrate Eid Prayer in Governor's Office Yard

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Committee of Islamic Day (PHBI) of West Sumatra Provincial Government will concentrate the implementation of Eid al-Fitr 1439 Hijriah prayer in the yard of West Sumatra Governor's Office and prepare the Grand Mosque of West Sumatra as an alternative if it is raining.

"The governor's office yard to the court yard of can accommodate more than ten thousand pilgrims so that it is used as the main location of Eid prayer," Chairman of West Sumatra PHBI Ali Asmar stated in here on Thursday.

In anticipating the parking location, it is anticipated by opening the entire yard of government offices around it in order to be utilized as a public parking space.

"The parking of governor's office to the streets behind the office including Mangunsarkoro and Ujung Gurun roads can be used for parking," he noted.

Meanwhile, Official of West Sumatra Provincial Secretariat, Ifrah in the implementation of Eid on Friday (June 15), khatib is entrusted to Tifatul Sembiring and Qori Imam of West Sumatra, Al Bizar, he pointed out.

Implementation of Eid prayer in the yard of the governor's office is the same as in previous years with consideration of primacy of field implementation and its capacity.

As for the ablution, the committee prepares around the location so that pilgrims who do prayer in the office yard feel comfortable.

Besides, sound system is also prepared in coordination with related parties.

If the weather is not good, then the pilgrims are directed to West Sumatra Grand Mosque which can also accommodate up to 10 thousand people. (cha)
