Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The current of vehicles traveling across the national road in Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra began to increase on Tuesday (June 12) or three days before Eid al-Fitr 1439 Hijriah.
"The vehicles volume from Padang to Bukittinggi increase up to 25 percent from daily days," Head of Traffic Police Unit of Padang Panjang Iptu Aditialidarman stated in here.
He mentioned that vehicles passing through the city are dominated by vehicles from Jakarta, Pekanbaru, Jambi, Palembang and Lampung.
"The passing vehicle is dominated by a four-wheeled vehicle," he said.
In order to to support the smoothness of traffic in the crossing area at Eid holiday, the police have prepared the traffic control measures to break down the congestion.
There are alternative paths that can be passed and traffic engineering steps in congestion-prone points such as tourist attractions, culinary centers and markets.
The alternative path from Padang Panjang to Bukittinggi is available in Simpang Lubuk Mata Kucing to Haji Miskin Street Koto Baru.
But the rider is only directed to the track if the traffic flow in Panyalaian does not move.
Another route is available after Koto Baru Market by turning right past Batu Palano to Sungai Pua, Kubang Putih, Lasi, Canduang and exit in Baso.
Then, form Baso to Bukittinggi it can be done by turning left then from Payakumbuh to Pekanbaru by turning right. (cha)
