"The number has increased by 20.88 percent compared to the same period in 2017 when the arrival of homecomers only reached 33,012 people," Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura II BIM Fendrick Sondra stated in here on Tuesday (June 12).
He mentioned the arrival of travelers is transported by 212 flights.
Conversely from D-8 to D-4 the number of passengers departing from Padang to Jakarta reached 26,486 people.
While on D-4 or June 11, 2018, the number of passengers arriving reached 8,854 people or an increase of eight percent over the same period of 2017 which only 8,214 travelers.
He said the peak of passengers arriving at BIM is expected to occur on D-3 or June 12, 2018.
The estimation is known based on last year's experience and statistics estimated on D-3. Nevertheless it is considering that the holiday is started on June 11 so that there is a possibility that there is a surge in the arrival of travelers this weekend, he explained.
As for the reverse flow is expected to occur on June 19-20 and June 23-24, 2018. (cha)
