Simpang Empat, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of West Pasaman District, West Sumatra provides blood for patients in need during Eid 2018 through a "on call" blood donation program.
"Rightly, people in need of blood quickly will be able to contact PMI through on call program," Chairman of West Pasaman PMI, Yunisra Syahiran accompanied by Head of PMI Ridawarsa stated in here on Sunday.
She said the on call program is a routine program conducted by PMI and people can use the program if they need blood in Eid holiday this year.
"We have more than 800 mobile phone numbers with donors of various blood types which are ready to be contacted. With the number of donors, PMI and people in need of blood can get donors soon," she explained.
She explained that some people in need of blood suddenly become difficult to find donors during Eid and holidays.
However, she said, with the availability of hundreds of donor phone numbers that are ready to be contacted by PMI, it will help people in need of blood.
Moreover, all of the donors listed in PMI are mostly active donors and regularly conduct donor acts on a regular basis. (cha)
