Padang Shopping Center is Crowded Ahead of Eid

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - One of the shopping centers in Padang Municipality, West Sumatra namely Plaza Andalas is crowded with people who hunt for equipment for Eid 1439 hijriah on Sunday.

Two of most crowded place of people there are clothes and shoes or sandals sides as the store gives a massive discount up to 50 percent plus 20 percent.

"I deliberately go a bit early so it is not too crowded while it is usually jostle and less comfortable in the afternoon to night," one buyer, Mega Eka Putri (25) stated.

In addition to clothes and shoes, there is also a parcel of Eid in Plaza Andalas. Then there are also discounts for food such as syrup, canned biscuits, fruits, meat, and koko clothes especially on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Another visitor, Yulia Gustina told he has bought clothes and sandals on D-6 of Eid for use on holidays.

"This is a moment for shopping, but it does not moment to be excessive," she said.

Meanwhile, one saleswoman, June said the surge of visitors before Eid does happen every year, so to keep the comfort of consumers, the store improved services and it had been prepared from afar.

Chairman of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) of West Sumatra Danil Aswad said people should be a smart consumer in buying goods and people need to sort between the desire with the needs. (cha)
