Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra conveys four superior products from the region are currently still in the process of curation at PT Sarinah Jakarta in order to penetrate international market.
"Those four products include quarry from coconut mats, embroideries, needleworks and knits that are curated by PT Sarinah in Jakarta," Head of Trade Service Industry Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Pariaman, Gusniyetti Zaunit stated in here on Saturday.
He said the curation process is done to select and search the market at national and international level on products of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are sent by Pariaman some time ago.
"After curation process is done by PT Sarinah, then the new marketing target is known to anywhere so that business actors can prepare themselves in the future," he remarked.
It said initially the local government target and hope the four local products are able to enter international market.
For example, mats from coconut rhinest and various knits are targeted to enter European market, while embroidery in the Middle East region such as Saudi Arabia.
The process of curation is quite time-consuming, the four items were approximately already a month in the PT Sarinah, he noted.
"We have contacted PT Sarinah a few days ago, but the process has not been completed because of the number of items to be curated," he said.
It explained if all these products are able to enter international market, then local government seeks legality of delivery through cooperative.
"The goal is facilitating business actors in marketing the product," he added. (cha)
