W Sumatra Export in April Reached 131.02 Million US Dollars

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of West Sumatra recorded export of the province in April 2018 reached 131.02 million US dollars, up 3.71 percent compared to March 2018 which only reached 126.33 million US dollars.

"The most widely exported goods in April 2018 are vegetable fats and oils worth to 77.52 million US dollars, rubber and rubber goods 33.89 million US dollars, and mineral fuel 5.68 million US dollars," Head West Sumatra BPS, Sukardi stated in here, on Saturday.

According to him, non-gas exports in April 2018 increase compared to March especially the export to United States at 15.71 percent.

The largest non-oil export destination in April 2018 was United States at 43.82 million US dollars, Singapore 17.90 million US dollars, and India 15.85 million US dollars.

Exports to United States contributed 30.62 percent to total exports of West Sumatra and India 26.07 percent.

On the contrary, exports of industrial products in April 2018 decreased by 2.87 percent compared to March, he added.

He said that the contribution of industrial sector to West Sumatra's total exports from January to April 2018 reached 96.45 percent.

While the import value of West Sumatra in April 2018 reached 37.79 million US dollars, an increase of 29.70 percent compared to March which reached 29.14 million US dollars.

The largest imported goods group in April 2018 is mineral fuel of 27.85 million US dollars. Then, fertilizer 8.02 million US dollars, and salt, sulfur, lime 0.66 million US dollars.
