"It aims to see the innovation and creativity of each nagari (traditional village) in this year's fasting," Regent of Dharmasraya, Sutan Riska Tuanku Kerajaan stated in here, Tuesday.
In general, Ramadhan Village in every nagari will be judged later based on several points such as hygiene of environmental and places of worship, religious activities and the crowded of mosque in each nagari during Ramadhan.
He said the best villages will earn cash and coaching as a form of appreciation from local government.
He hopes the nagari government together with community to prepare themselves in welcoming the assessment.
The Regent appealed community to increase the unity between people as well as faith during the holy month of Ramadhan.
Besides, he added that maintaining order and security during Ramadhan is the responsibility of government, police, and society. (cha)
