Solok BRI Beautifies Lake Singkarak Tourism Area

Solok, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) of Solok branch beautifies the tourism area of Lake Singkarak Wharf in Solok District, West Sumatra, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

"We have beautified some points in the region such as the construction of gate, swafoto location, culinary location and others," BRI Public Relations of Solok Syafriadi stated in Solok on Monday.

He said the funds provided by BRI amounted to Rp310 million to beautify the region to increase local, national, and foreign tourist visits to the area.

According to him, the revamping of Lake Singkarak tourism area is also a form of cooperation between Solok BRI and local government. The fund will cover the budget shortage provided by local authorities to build the area.

"We have disbursed the revamping fund to the government in February 2018 and now the improvement in the location is almost complete," he remarked.

Syafradi said the CSR program is budgeted after it conducted a survey to the community related to Lake Singkarak Wharf area. Aspirations are collected and it immediately coordinates with Solok District government.

"We hope that CSR program can help the government in developing the potential of tourism in the area," he said.

In 2017, he mentioned that there were CSR assistance in the form of school supplies at SDN 03 of Solok Municipality at the end of December, cheap market in ramadhan, mosque aid, orphans, free medical treatment, blood donation, and others.

"Now there is a proposal in Solok Municipality to improve the tourism sector in Ampang Kualo," he said.

BRI of Solok branch includes the offices of Solok District, South Solok, and Solok Municipality. (cha)
