300 Southeast Asian Poets To Spend the Night in Padang Panjang Tourism Villages

Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A total of 300 Southeast Asian poets which holds a meeting in Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra in early May 2018 will be lodged in two regional tourism villages namely Kubu Gadang Tourism Village, and Sigando Cultural and Religious Village, Padang Panjang Tourism Office Secretary, Dalius stated.

The poets are coming from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore and East Timor.

From the total numbers of Southeast Asian Poet Meeting that held by Library and Filing Service together with Local Literacy Forum, 200 guests will stay at Kubu Gadang Tourism Village and 100 guests in Sigando Cultural and Religious Village.

"This event is also a means of introducing the potential of regional tourism to guests who come," he said.

Promotion step will be done by inviting the guests in two tourism villages during the activity took place on May 3 to 6, 2018.

In genaral, Kubu Tourism Village is a village that favored the cultural attractions of Silek Lanyah and already has a homestay as a guest house.

While Cultural and Religious Village of Sigando has the main object of a mosque that has existed since 1832 AD and became the location of Islamic development in the area, he added. (cha)
