Manpower Ministry Provides Entrepreneurship Training for Pariaman Community

Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Center for Productivity Improvement (BBPP) Directorate General of Productivity Development, Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) provides entrepreneurship training for the community in Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra on April 10 to 13, 2018.

Head of Implementation and Empowerment Center for Productivity Productivity Directorate General of Productivity Development, Ministry of RI Manpower, Yon Hendri in Pariaman, Tuesday, said that the training which involves 50 participants from representatives of West Sikapak Village and Tungkal Village, East Pariaman Sub-district is a program from the central government in involving 13 ministries related to the goal of growing new businesses in the community.

All participants will be equipped with materials and work practices on culinary entrepreneurship and screen printing. After that, they are expected to develop into the business world to improve its economy.

After the entrepreneurship training, the community, especially the participants is expected to be independent and open the field of work according to the knowledge that has been obtained, he remarked.

Nationally, he said, the government through the relevant ministries will conduct entrepreneurship training in 600 packages. Especially in West Sumatra, it has been trained 176 participants or in seven packages, among them are come from Agam, Padang, Pariaman and Padang Pariaman.

"The budget for the training is limited so that the ministry should be able to choose the target area, but the activity is implemented to Eastern Indonesia," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Pariaman Mayor, Mukhlis Rahman said the entrepreneurship training is one of government's efforts to reduce unemployment in Indonesia.

Nationally, the government has various efforts to suppress unemployment rate, especially Pariaman, the step is also done. One of them is done through the Department of Trade Industry Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, he explained.

There is a lot of training given by local governments such as training the community about handicrafts embroidery, knitting and so on, he added. (cha)
