Pariaman Handed Over 90 Storefronts to Culinary Traders

Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra Provincial handed over 90 units of storefronts to culinary traders in the area, so that the food sold will be more clean, hygienic and orderly neatly so as to lure people to buy.

Pariaman Mayor, Mukhlis Rahman in Pariaman, Tuesday (Feb 6) said that every food and drink sold by traders should be clean, hygienic, and orderly for potential buyers to be satisfied with the merchant services.

Quality of hygiene, neatness and innovation of food sold must be preferred by the merchant, because it becomes the assessment by prospective customers, he noted.

"If food and drinks sold by traders are not clean and dirty, so it can cause various diseases for consumers," he remarked.

In addition to maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and comfort, it is also in line with the mission and vision of Pariaman to create a city of tourist destination and creative economy based on environment, culture and religion.

Meanwhile, Head of Industry, Trade Service, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Pariaman, Gusniyetti Zaunit said there are 90 merchants who received the aids.

"More or less local governments budgeted Rp200 million through Regional Budget Changes of 2017 for the procurement of 90 units of the storefronts," she pointed out.

To obtain the storefront's assistance, each trader must apply it to the relevant office and conduct a field survey.

Every trader who receives the storefront's assistance will be regularly evaluated by local government, so that the goods delivered can be used as well as possible and on target.

A storefront aid that is not being used maximally will be withdrawn and handed over to others. Then for unscrupulous traders who sell, they will not given assistance next time, she added. (cha)
