Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Tourism and Culture Office of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra recorded the Regional Revenue from Air Manis Beach ticket charges reached Rp45 million to Rp60 million per week after the opening of new road from Bukit Gado-Gado.
The number of revenues has increased considerably after the route can be passed by large vehicles, moreover the increasing reached rem times, Head of Tourism and Culture of Padang, Medi Iswandi stated in Padang, on Saturday.
Medi explained the revenue from the ticket fee before the new road is opened around Rp4 million to Rp6 million per week.
In general, the area is crowded by citizens during the weekend and long holidays. Then, in the good weather, the number of people who come also quite a lot.
It noted the maximum number of visits reached 12 thousand people from the gate of Padang Government and 12 thousand people who enter the area from the gates run by local community.
He said the gate of Padang Government opened from 08.00 a.m. until 06.00 p.m. every day.
"We urge public to come to the shore within the prescribed hours to avoid the danger of high tides and others," he added. (cha)
