Batusangkar, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The West Sumatra government allocates Rp10 billion from provincial budget to reform Koto Baru Market in X Koto Sub-district, Tanah Datar District, after the fire on Sunday night (March 25).

Vice Governor of West Sumatra, Nasrul Abit after reviewing the location of Koto Baru Market fire, Tuesday, said the improvement of the market will be done as well as to overcome the problem of congestion that often occurs in market area.

He mentioned, if this year the land affairs can be completed by Tanah Datar District, then the work to move Koto Baru Market to the rear will be started.

In addition, it also coordinates with West Sumatra Police for handling congestion, because the agency is one of the parties who give enough attention to the area.

Besides, as an effort, it needs to make improvements by moving the market position to the back and prepare an alternative path.

Previously Tanah Datar Regent, Irdinansyah Tarmizi said to overcome the congestion it already has three options, namely short-term, medium-term and long-term handling.

He mentioned that in the short term, all relevant agencies will go directly to the field to help to break down the temporary congestion, for medium term handling is moving the parking area to the back of market and arrange for the activity of buying and selling no longer done by the roadside.
