Parit Malintang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra is trying to accelerate the implementation of smart city in order to shorten the bureaucracy and facilitate services to people in the area.
"All this time the business is slow because it is inhibited by the bureaucracy," Deputy Regent of Padang Pariaman, Suhatri Bur stated when opening Smart City Socialization and Development of e-government in Parit Malintang, Monday.
According to him, it can be overcome by the application of smart city so that the service to community that has been hampered by bureaucracy can be resolved.
But in its application, he continued the organization of regional apparatus (OPD), sub-district heads, and community should focus to study it because it can be a barrier especially applications provided a lot.
"Though smart city, it is to facilitate us," he remarked.
Therefore, he ordered the OPD and sub-district heads and asked people in the area to study informatics technology so that smart city really becomes a tool to facilitate service to community.
To prepare and accelerate the application of the district into a smart city, then it has received a number of experts.
In fact, he said it has done imitation studies to a number of areas that have implemented smart city in between Bandung, Surabaya, and Siduarjo.
"And we are working with Lintasarta informatics technology company," he added.
He hopes by preparing human resources by studying information technology and working with the company, it can accelerate the application of smart city in the area. (cha)
