Mayor Inaugurates Padang Panjang Market

Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Mayor of Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra, Hendri Arnis inaugurates local central market in the area after local government was finishing its construction for two years. "We hope the inauguration of new market can accommodate all traders and raise economy of citizen," he said when inaugurating Padang Panjang central market on Sunday. He said, for the traders who are already selling in that market at past time, of course, become the priority. "There are 1.127 stands and we hope all traders feel comfortable in selling theirs in the market," he stated. Head of Padang Panjang Municipal Legislative Assembly, Novi Hendri appreciates local government for their success in constructing local market implementation. "Local market construction has cancelled for past a decade, but, we have done it this year," he said. Development planning of Padang Panjang central market, has started since 2006, but it is failed to implement.
